I predicted that the resident population would hit the 1 million mark on October 29 at 3:05 PM SLT/Pacific time, taking into account that daily signups would increase. Little did I know that they would increase as fast as they did, with all the media coverage it’s gotten in the past month or so.
Hopefully two more sandboxes should be enough for a million residents.
BTW, looks like we might be hitting seven figures sooner than I thought.

As a user/resident of an MMO-type environment, this episode hit a little close to home, in more ways than one.
