Here’s another video from the Patriotic Nigras, set to an awesome remix of Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain”.

It’s Raining Men

T-Online‘s [world thingee] presence, noted for having camping chairs, got pwned by MrStrife of the Patriotic Nigras with chat spam and Cockmongler, Happy Negro, Conan, and Goatse particles. Of course, there’s a video.

Better Animated Sculpties

As we’ve seen in the last video, our morphing prim isn’t exactly the prettiest thing to look at, and I’ve discovered why. QuickTime dithers JPEG images embedded in Flash files, which knocks the coordinates on our morphing map out of whack, leading to the prim looking bumpy.

Fortunately, there is a simple solution to our problem: in Flash, go into the Library, open the properties for each of the bitmaps you’re using, and change the compression type to “Lossless (PNG/GIF)”. This will increase the file size, but QuickTime won’t dither the images, and the morphing prim will be a lot less bumpy. 😀

Here’s the revised Flash file, and yet another video:

Animated Sculpties

With a little help from Dedric Mauriac, we now have morphing sculpted prims!

Apparently, if you change the sculpt type of the prim, the shape will be rebuilt based on the sculpt texture, which, because the sculpt texture is being replaced by the Flash file, is continually changing. The result depends on the kind of media used, but is generally a morphing shape.

This video shows the effect in action, using an enhanced version of the switching script:

Attempt at animating sculpties: made of phail

What do you get when you take a sculpted prim, a Flash movie of one sculpt texture fading into another, and the ability to set the media texture and URL on a parcel? This:

As you can see, it doesn’t really work.

(in other news: happy rezday to me! YAYZERAMA!)

More from the Patriotic Nigras

added 2007-05-26: Huge Boat

Here we have a giant boat griefed with Spengbabs and a giant seizure-inducing megaprim.

Feces Spewing Monstrosity

Another lulz-generating device, a giant rear end with feces under it spewing a brown spray and fart noises. (It’s also “anatomically correct”.) In the video, it is being used to disrupt a couple of concerts.

Operation Tacgnol Storm

A major attack by the Nigras, and plenty of drama in the comments section of the video.

EYE RAEP SHOTGUN DEMO

The “EYE RAEP SHOTGUN” is a cage gun that spawns cages with the eBaum’s World logo on the outside and disgusting pictures on the inside.

Stealth

This video shows the Gay Yiffy Club getting griefed by a stealthed Nigra, with chat spam and Cosby particles.

Project Open Letter

Project Open Letter is a petition to the world admins to get them to fix certain problems with the world thingee, such as inventory loss issues and lag. Of course, they want this to be done by limiting the unverifieds while not having themselves limited. This is part of why Prok and Nobody won’t sign it; Prok also sees it as a “limousine-liberal protest” by the “top-end content creators”, while Nobody sees many of the problems as that of users who wear “1000 scripted prims” and all sorts of lagware.

But this post by Kami Harbinger well and truly demolishes Project Open Letter as the same old whine for a different day.

WTF?

These are mainly the observations of an average, normal, run-of-the-mill nutbar in the Second Life® world.
